Hostels

When in Austin travel is a must for everybody. What is discouraging is the fact that there are very less number of cheap accommodations available for travelers to stay in for a night or even for long.

The hotels present in the city charge an exorbitant amount as most of them are luxurious in nature. Moreover, it is not feasible for a tourist, who is already traveling under a fixed budget, to shell out the amount quoted by such hotels.

Hostels, on the other hand, are preferred more by travelers. In fact, a number of Austin travel agents advice their clients to book a hostel as they are relatively much cheaper and affordable. Hostels are a very wise choice if an individual is traveling alone or if he or she is a student.

Within the city, only one hostel is available for travelers and is known as the 'Austin Hoste'. Even though the city administration has opened up places which are similar to the setup of the hostel, such places usually do not match up to the only long standing standards of the 'Austin Hoste'.

The hostel has certain rules and regulations that the traveler must abide by. For instance, the hostel administration requires one to furnish them with some kind of photo identification. Further, if you are traveling in bunches or groups of more than 8 people, you will have to pay almost half of the billed amount upfront, calculated on the basis of your duration of stay.

The charges of the hostel are relatively very less and at $6 per night, you couldn't ask for more! People may have to pay extra though, if they check into the establishment after 11 or 12 in the night.
