Austin Music Hall is easy to reach by car. It's located at downtown Austin, between the Market and Warehouse Districts. It was converted into a music hall from a warehouse. After remodel, the Austin Music Hall becomes a even greater place to enjoy a live concert. If you want to drive to the Austin Music Hall, abundant parking lots are available in that area although the music hall doesn't own any parking garage.
City Hall Parking Garage: The most commonly used parking lot around Austin Music Hall is the City Hall Parking Garage. The City Hall Parking Garage has three levels of paid underground parking. The grand parking garage has brought great convenience for visitors to City Hall and downtown Austin. The opening hour of the garage is from 5:45 am to 1:00 am through Monday to Sunday.
How to get to the City Hall Parking Garage? The entrance of the City Hall Parking Garage is on the east side of City Hall which is located on Lavaca Street. You need to drive past the loading dock. Keep an eye for the signs that say "Public" when entering the garage. The signs will guide you to the parking space. Ticket can be bought at the booth. Don't loss the ticket by the way. You can park anywhere on P1, P2 or P3.
As for the parking rate, it's free for the first 30 minutes. They will charge $3 for 31 minutes to 1 hour and charge for $4.5 for 1 to 1.5 hours. The rest can be done in the same manner. The daily maximum is $10 on weekdays and $5 on weekends. Parking is free on Council meeting days. Tailgating and overnight parking are both prohibited.
Other nearby parking options: Public surface lots on Fourth and Nueces streets are also available. Or you can park at the state parking garage on Nueces Street between 3rd and 4th Street. The garage is open the whole week. It only charges $5 after 6:00 pm.
For buses and trucks, flat parking lot is available on the north side of the Austin Music Hall at Nueces Street. Austin Music Hall is at the intersection of Third Street and Nueces Street. Parking is on the north side of the building. It can accommodate two trucks and three buses. Additional buses parking can also be arranged in the south alley along the Austin Music Hall. You need to contact their Production Manager in advance though.
