Zilker Metropolitan Park is 351 acres of recreation area in Austin. It is located near Lady Bird Lake and Barton Springs Pool. The park now features in the list of National Register of Historic Places. The park is considered to be the most loved among the others due to the availability of a wide variety of recreational facilities and events.

The park has five reserved sections and multiple recreational opportunities. The 351 acres of land is divided into 1 playground, 3 picnic tables, 2 basketball courts, 2 barbeque pits and 1 off leash dog area. Other options include 2 swimming areas, 2 tennis courts and 2 multipurpose activity areas. Hence, there are lots of opportunities for the kids to enjoy themselves. The bike trails extending for 2 miles is also famous.

Take a ride on the Zilker Zephyr, which is a miniature train around the park. You will have the most unforgettable experience of your life. If you are interested in taking a ride on the lake, paddle a canoe on Town Lake. There is also a Disc Golf course with 9 holes to delight the golfers.
