
Fun Facts about the North Austin Municipal Utility District
Municipal Utility Districts in Austin were created to deal with the issues of sewage, drainage, water and other such services. They also publish regular reports pertaining to these topics. These districts are popularly known as MUD. The North Austin Municipal District provides services to the Milwood neighborhood.
Some of most popular parks and sports venues come under the North Austin MUD. They include Rattan Creek Park, Hike and Bike Trails and Robinson Park. Rattan Creek Park is a multipurpose facility including tennis courts, swimming pool, sand volleyball court, basketball court and soccer field.

However, you must follow the rules and regulations if you wish to play tennis and other games in the park. Robinson Park also has soccer facilities. The teams wishing to play at Robinson or Rattan Creek Park must reserve the soccer area for the game. The tennis courts remain open from 7am to 10pm at the Rattan Creek Park.
The President of the North Austin MUD is Alan McNeil while Don Conklin is the Vice President. Keith Collins is the Treasurer and John Lenz is the Assistant Treasurer. Jo Jones is the Secretary. There is a Community Center under North Austin MUD which is known as Rattan Creek Community Center or the RCCC. The center operates from 4pm to 7:30pm during the weekdays. On Saturdays it is open from 12pm to 7:30pm.
