Roosevelt Theater Hyde Park
Built in President Franklin D. Roosevelt's birthplace, the Hyde Park Theater features some relaxing cinema spots. Guests staying in hotels in Austin TX can make a visit through the drive in cinemas at this spot and enjoy the homely atmosphere offered by the retail stores in the park. Built way back in the year 1915, the theater once housed a Kimball organ. It was originally known as the Harper Theaters. It has undergone a number of management changes and is currently treated as one of the nation's historic places.
The theater has hosted a number of repertory performances in the past including the Joffery Ballet and the original founders of the Second City traveling theater performers.
Two 375 seat theaters are included in the group and there is a space to seat 1700 members of audience in the balcony. There is ample parking where the audience can leave their cars as they watch the movies.
