
Short Guide to University of Texas at Austin: Scholarships, Admissions and Employment
The University of Texas is one of the oldest and largest higher education institutions in America. Founded in 1883, there are 16 colleges and schools located in the university offering courses in a variety of fields ranging from engineering, pharmacy, fine arts, natural sciences, business administration, architecture, law, nursing, and Social work to name a few. The University of Texas offers more than 170 graduate degrees and 100 undergraduate degrees.
Scholarships: The University of Texas in Austin offers scholarships and financial aids to students in need of financial support. This is taken care of by the Office of Student Financial Services. Interested students need to apply with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to determine the eligibility for grants, scholarships, loans, and work study. The notification and funds release information is sent by EFAN or Electronic Financial Aid Notification.
Admissions: The admission to the various graduate schools and programs are managed by the schools individually. The minimum requirement for qualification and other factors too are set individually by schools. The various forms can be downloaded from the official website of the University of Texas with non refundable fees (different for different courses). Upon submission of the application forms, the candidates are sent an email with the EID details and password. The aspiring students then need to monitor the application status through their designated EID.
